Great Clips launches over 150 site pages on dotCMS
Intro
Great Clips is the world’s leading salon brand, with more than 4,400 hair salons across the United States and Canada. It is a 100% franchised company and is ranked the #1 franchise in personal-care businesses.
Challenge
Great Clips sought to rethink its online brand by redesigning and replatforming its website, GreatClips.com.
It was important for the company to ensure that every touchpoint across its digital ecosystem would make online check-in easy, continue to drive salon visits, and deliver great customer service. Each of these priorities was important to ensuring that Great Clips remains the most convenient salon to get a haircut that fits your hair, lifestyle, and look from any stylist, every time.
Solution
Dragon Army, Great Clips’ full-service digital engagement agency and dotCMS partner, went through a selection process that resulted in dotCMS being chosen to take Great Clips content to the next level. dotCMS was chosen because of its headless, multi-tenant content management capabilities.
Dragon Army, with their Applied Game Theory™ (AGT) proprietary engagement framework, identified opportunities to use Great Clips’ new website to inspire repeat business and build brand loyalty. The website aimed to be responsive, working across every device and environment. dotCMS’ headless content management system was the ideal solution to provide the level of flexibility, scalability, and security they needed.
dotCMS proved to have easier functionality and smoother deployment than Great Clips’ previous CMS solution. Content teams specifically needed a rich content editor, the Block Editor, that allows different content types to be edited, reordered, transformed, or deleted using drag-and-drop functionality.
Using dotCMS’ multi-tenant capabilities, Great Clips is now able to host its franchisee website and customer-facing website on a single dotCMS instance. This allows Great Clips to maintain brand consistency while publishing localized and personalized content across all of its sites.
